WELCOME TO OUR SITE

Welcome to the ‘Heart of the Warrior’ site which is home to the Atlantic rowing challenge taken on by James Dennistoun and Sam Langmead. You can see how we are doing by click the image above, you can also see how we are stacking up against the other rowers by clicking this link http://www.atlanticrowingrace09.com/progress/ but don't forget to come back and keep reading.

The Challenge involves rowing unsupported in a specially designed ocean rowing boat from the Canarie Islands to Antigua, some 2900 miles away. A challenge that will take around two months to complete rowing two hours on, two hours off.

The aim is to raise money for two great charities. St Barnabas House (complimented by Chestnut Tree childrens Hospice) and Wave 105 Cash for Kids.

What makes this challenge so hard, probably isnt the physical or mental hardships, but raising money in the current economic climate thats so crippling to so many.

Please help in anyway you can by looking through our website and either taking part in our Upcoming Events or even just donating using the PayPal Donate link to the left of the Screen. It is worth noting that to Donate via paypal, you do not neccessarily need a paypal a/c you can just use your card to make an online payment. Alternatively you can find an address to send cheques (payable to 'Heart of the Warrior') on the Contact page and if you would prefer to donate via bank transfer then feel free to ask us for the details. Any questions at all then we look forward to hearing from you.
